The Influence of Work Commitment and Career Development on Employee Work Effectiveness at TVRI South Sulawesi Station

Abstract

The effectiveness of employees' work is one of the important factors in supporting the achievement of organizational goals, especially in public broadcasting institutions such as TVRI. The work effectiveness of employees can be influenced by various factors, including work commitment and career development. This study aims to analyze the influence of work commitments and career development on the work effectiveness of employees at TVRI South Sulawesi Station. This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal associative research design. The population in this study is all permanent employees of TVRI South Sulawesi Station. The sample was determined using the slovin formula so that as many as 130 respondents were obtained. Data collection was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires with a five-point Likert Scale. Data was analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics software version 27. The results of the study show that (1) work commitment has a positive and significant effect on the work effectiveness of employees at TVRI South Sulawesi Station, (2) career development has a positive and significant effect on the work effectiveness of employees at TVRI South Sulawesi Station, (3) work commitment and career development have a positive and significant effect on the work effectiveness of employees at TVRI South Sulawesi Station. The findings of this study show that the higher the work commitment and the better the career development provided, the work effectiveness of employees will increase Therefore, increasing work commitment and providing sustainable career development opportunities need to be considered by TVRI South Sulawesi Station to support the achievement of organizational goals optimally.
